Let It Snow!

We had a huge snowfall yesterday so it's finally starting to feel like Christmas is coming. It looks beautiful but it's freezing out there! We live across the street from a park and it was fun to see all the kids outside at recess frantically making snowmen and snow forts before the bell rang.

I say this every year around this time but, I can't believe Christmas is in a week. Crazy! We're planning a trip to the Island to see my family as usual. Let's just hope the weather holds out. I'm not sure if the ferry ride over is going to be less or more fun with the little one. On one hand with my hands full, the trip should seem short. On the other, if Jack gets bored, it should be interesting to say the least. The hubby has to work until Christmas Eve so he'll be following after us which he's not too thrilled about . It will be the first time he's ever been away from Jack. I'll let everyone know how it went when we're back.

Also, some of the stress of going back to work has been eliminated. Jack and I have finally found a solution to our child care issue! We met with a single mum who was looking to share her 14 month old daughter's nanny. So Jack will be hanging out with 2 older women while I'm hard at work. Hmmm, I'm not sure I like the sound of that. They seem very nice but of course, the whole situation still makes me nervous. When are we going to win the lottery so I can be a stay-at-home mum?
